Exchange programs increase the level of education in universities and broaden the horizons of young people

Exchange programs at Polish universities

International student exchange programs, which are widespread in Polish higher education institutions, raise the level of university education and broaden the horizons of young people, and strengthen international and intercultural ties.

International student exchange programs are divided into two main groups.

The first are direct agreements between universities, cities, countries with partnerships. At the state level, such programs are a diplomatic form, they strengthen cultural and economic ties.

For universities, participation in such programs is, first of all, an exchange of experience, borrowing advanced educational methods from partners to improve the level of education and teaching in their own university. The programs of the first type are designed for students from Europe, Russia, the USA, Australia and other countries.

The second group is the EU programs – Erasmus and Erasmus Plus, part of the program “Continuing Education”.
