The Day of Slavic Literature and Culture is the Russian name for the holiday dedicated to the day of memory of the brothers Cyril and Methodius.

The holiday originated in Bulgaria at the turn of the 10th and 11th centuries and originates from the church tradition. Cyril and Methodius, also known as the Thessalonian brothers, were canonized in the 10th century.

The Big Change Competition is an opportunity for education, development and communication for all students in grades 8-10. On March 28, the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov took part in the launch of the project.

The goal of the Big Change competition is to give every teenager an opportunity to express themselves and find their strengths.

The main criterion for the competitive selection will not be the assessment of academic performance, but the availability of skills that will be useful to the student in the modern world.

The competition is held in nine thematic areas: new media (“Tell us about the main thing!”), Art and creativity (“I create!”), Ecology (“Save nature!”), Habitat (“Change the world around!”), Healthy lifestyle (“Be healthy!”), science and technology (“Create the future!”), good (“Do good!”), travel and tourism (“Get to know Russia!”), historical memory (“Remember!”).

The remote stage of the Big Change competition takes place on the website https://bolshayaperemena.online. On March 31st, the first stage of the competition started – testing. At the same time, schoolchildren can join the competition until June 23 inclusive, all tasks will be available. After the contestants, a motivational task and work with cases await, where their favorite teachers will be able to take part with the students, and then face-to-face competitions and the final, which will be held in October, will take place.

6,000 schoolchildren will qualify for the semifinals of the competition, 1,200 will become finalists, and 300 students in grades 8-9 and 300 tenth graders will win.
